Ngage Management Wins 2020 Best of MichBusiness Award from Michigan Business and Professional Association

OKEMOS, Michigan, December 7, 2020 – Ngage Management is pleased to announce it was recently selected as a winner in the Small Business category at the 2020 Best of MichBusiness Awards program, held virtually on Wednesday, December 9.

The Best of MichBusiness Awards celebrates the programs and companies that make our state a great place to live and work, presented by the Michigan Business and Professional Association (MBPA). This year’s awards recognized Michigan companies that stepped up to make a difference in 2020 and showed outstanding leadership in a time of crisis and social and economic uncertainty. It was MichBusiness’ hope this year to rise above the traditional awards program and spotlight companies who have disrupted the status quo, truly making them, “2020’s Best of MichBusiness.”

“Ngage's clients are primary healthcare and nursing professionals, which required us to pivot our business operations overnight to best serve all our frontline healthcare professionals who were working to care for the nation’s growing number of COVID-19 patients,” said Tobi Lyon, President and CEO of Ngage. “Ngage's team focused not only on how to help our client organizations succeed during the pandemic but developed programs and training to make a real difference in the member’s lives.”

Specific programs developed to support Ngage’s healthcare clients during the pandemic included using the Ngage mobile app to build and support virtual conference platforms, managing support calls, 24/7 nurse-to-nurse warm lines, self-care and networking opportunities, special thank you nurses gifts, thank you billboards, training programs and numerous free online educational opportunities.

“The award is a testament to Ngage’s innovative ideas and hard work to provide new services, strong communication, and an abundance of networking opportunities for our clients amidst the COVID-19 pandemic,” continued Lyon.

In 2020, despite the pandemic, Ngage’s healthcare clients membership numbers were up, and non-dues revenue (revenue generated outside of events and membership with new products and services) was up 32%, whereas most other national associations were down by up to 75%.

The root of MichBusiness is helping small businesses across Michigan succeed through valuable resources, educational programs, high-impact events and more. For more than three decades, as the Michigan Business and Professional Association, the organization’s mission and history of successful business partnerships have positively impacted more than 150,000 businesses.
